Thomas W. Scott oral history, 1966.

In this interview, Thomas W. Scott shares his observations about the New York State sugar beet industry. Topics include: his assessment of the feasibility of growing sugar beets in New York; the contributions of the New York State College of Agriculture, including its research and extension and its relationships with farmers, Auburn City promoters, and the employees of the Empire State Sugar Company; making recommendations to farmers about weed control; and his impressions of Paul W. Lattimore, Paul Aron, Dewey Stewart, Bernard Pooler, James B. Smith, and Charles Lavis.
